Who can attend?

 

Q: Can my spouse or partner attend?
A: Yes, absolutely! You are welcome to invite friends, family and co-workers along to the summit, including all social activities. They will simply need to register their attendance, pay the registration fee, and RSVP their attendance to the social activities. More information about the program will be available online soon.

Travelling to Australia

 

Q: I’m not an Australian citizen. Do I need special documentation to enter Australia and attend this summit?
A: Entry requirements vary depending on your country of citizenship. To find out whether you need a visa, please visit the Department of Immigration "Visa Finder" website. 

 

Q: Can I receive a discount on my travel fare?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot provide a travel fare discount.

Visa Application - Letter of Invitation

Q:  I need a letter of invitation to apply for my visa.

A:  During the registration process for GEIS 2018 you will be asked if you require a letter of invitation.  Tick the box on the registration form and you will be required to input your passport details. Once you have submitted and paid in full for your registration the letter of invitation will be sent directly to your email address which you registered with.  Please allow 24 hours for this to arrive in your inbox.

Q: I only plan on attending one day of the summit. Can I pay for one day only?

A: Yes, simply purchase a day registration. You can purchase a day registration for up to two event days.

 

Q: Several of my colleagues and I are registering for the summit. Is there a special group rate?

A: No, only individual registration is available.

Accommodation and getting around

​

Q: Do I need to book my own hotel room?

A: Yes. We have negotiated special rates with selected local hotels in close proximity to the summit venue.  You can make a reservation at one of these hotels when registering.  See the accommodation page for more details.
 

Q: What tourist attractions are available in Melbourne?

A: For local advice on what to see and do in Melbourne during your visit, please visit the local tourist information centre website.
